Overview
Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation is a flagship skill development initiative launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu with the vision of transforming the youth of the state into competent and industry-ready professionals. The program is designed to identify, nurture, and empower the talents of students in government and private higher education institutions through focused training, expert mentorship, and personalized career guidance.
Through this initiative, students gain access to a wide range of curated learning resources and certified courses in high-demand domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Web Development, Fintech, Communication Skills, and much more. The platform also integrates aptitude training, language development (English & Tamil), and interview preparation modules, ensuring holistic development.
University College of Engineering Villupuram is one of the Hub Centre for Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation. A skill and Placement Centre was established at UCEV to provide Training and Placement drives for Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation beneficiaries. Further, Through Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation various Faculty Development Programme are conducted in UCEV. Through batched placement drives, Students got placed in many core/software industry through Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation Placement. Our college proudly collaborates with all activities of Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation. Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation activites are centrally coordinated through the portal which enables students to:
- Enroll in domain-specific technical and non-technical courses.
- Attend expert-led webinars, workshops, and seminars.
- Participate in mock interviews and resume-building sessions.
- Receive real-time industry exposure through internships and projects.
- Connect with job opportunities through the program’s placement support.
In addition to the academic focus, Tamil Nadu Skill Corporation also fosters entrepreneurial thinking and innovative mindsets by connecting students with government programs, startup mentorship, and innovation hubs.
