Overview
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, established in 2008, is one of the pioneering departments of UCEV. The department provides strong foundations in thermodynamics, manufacturing, mechanics, materials science, and design engineering through a blend of theoretical and practical learning.
Students gain hands-on experience through advanced laboratories, machine shops, CAD/CAM facilities, thermal engineering labs, and project-based learning activities. The curriculum is continuously updated to include emerging technologies such as robotics, renewable energy systems, automation, and additive manufacturing.
The department encourages innovation, teamwork, research initiatives, and industrial exposure through internships, workshops, technical symposiums, and collaborative projects. Graduates are equipped with technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to excel in global engineering industries.
