- OPM ORP
The device operates based on the difference in electrical charge created by the potential difference between a reference electrode inside the glass and a reference in contact with the solution outside the glass. It measures the millivolt difference in the system.
Ion swapping occurs on the inner surface of the glass electrode. The two solutions on either side of the glass have different acidity levels, leading to varying amounts of ion swapping on both sides. This results in a difference in hydrogen ion activity on the two surfaces of the glass, which generates a difference in electrical charge.
This charge difference produces a voltage difference that appears as a measurement on the meter. OPRUSS enhances this technology by selecting and manufacturing the precise materials needed for optimal pH and ORP measuring sensors. The sensor also includes an automatic diagnosis function that checks for any faults in the electrode properties. If a defect is detected, it displays an error on the unit. Additionally, a temperature compensation element ensures accurate readings.
